4D Scan - to be or not to be?

well my OH said he would pay the £150 (cheapest we found for Sheffield!) for me to have the 4D scan as my 21st birthday present.....but then we got talkin the other night and he asked me if i would prefer to have the money for that to buy myself something as we wont have much money for ourselves once baby comes along - now im in two minds what to do!

what would you do?!

Tbh for me £150 is a lot of money that could be used elsewhere. I dont NEED to have a 4D scan, I will see bubba when they arrive!!
Im happy with the 20 week scan myself.

Its a hard one but i think id have the 4d scan as its something id never do again as this is my third and last and also youl have it as a forever keepsake

Depends how much you want a 4D scan babes. I had one because I was so impatient waiting for Maddison to come along

There's a place at Barnsley where you can get 4D scans for £99. They're called Babyview. I'm going there rather than Thornbury Hospital.

its alot alot fo money, but the way i see it its not something you can ever do again, iof you buy yourself some clohtes how long wil that last ?

I would have the scan, it's something you can keep forever and your LO will love to see the pics when their older.

definitely scan as, as said previusly you will be able to show LO what he was like when he wasnt even born yet, of course does help that my husband wanted it more than me, so hes paying.

I said get yourself something!!
As cute as the 4D scans are, there not for me! I dont want to see my babys face before he is born! People think Im weird for not wanting one lol
So therefor I would d something else like maybe book a hotel for the night and have a special night with just you and OH, something you wont be able to do for a long time when LO comes along!
Clothes etc you wont have forever but a memory of a great night you will!

well had a word with OH last night and he said that instead of buying it for my birthday, if we decide we want it we can just go halves for it (the £99 package!) so looks like i'll be getting a birthday present and maybe the scan too

Personally id say something for yourself. becoz yes we got a 4d scan with jack and it was lovely at the time. but if im honest now that jack is here we havent actually looked at it since . and hardly ever buy anything for ourselves becoz all our money goes on jack and now his little brother. so we're not having a 4d scan for this one as we think the money can be put to better use
