Well it is better news today- head is now just below brim so (4/5) which i know isn't much but its the 1st sign so far of baby engaging!!

Midwife is not worried and has offered me a sweep on wed (41 weeks), so hopefully head will have moved down a bit more by then so more chance of it working.

So things are at least going in the right direction

Hope things start happening for you Nikkif, I know I'm getting impatient and I'm not even quite full term yet!! So I can't imagine how you must feel.

My midwife told me to buy some pure essential lavender oil and put 8 drops of in in a tablespoon of milk (to emulsify it) and then add it to a bath. Or you can put 1 drop of lavender oil in a teaspoon of olive oil and rub it on your bump. Apparently the oil has properties which are known to help bring on labour. Plus it smells nice and is relaxing!

Worth a try.
