36weeks measuring 38 and transverse baby

Hi ladies been to see midwife today baby still transverse ad is measuring 7 and a half pounds so going to be a big one she has booked me a presentation scan Friday and I don't really know much more other than they may try turn it or book me c section does anyone roughly know what happens as I'm dreading c section and wanted to know when they would book me in for as I'm measuring Over by 2 weeks please help xxx

I've had no experience of this myself but didn't want to read & run.

A close friend of mine had her baby last month. He was transverse, they tried to move him but he wouldn't budge so she was booked in for a section the day before her due date. They thought he would be around 10lb, but he was 8lb 9 so not quite so big.

I know down here they try to turn the baby before making a decision, but that could be different in other places.

My midwife said they allow 2cm each way, anymore then they will do further action x
