Hi I had a MW app yesterday and she said my little pudding was doing great and that he was very low she wrote in my notes "ceph long brim" what does this mean? Thanks xx

Cephalic and long is the way baby is lying - so head down in your case.

Brim means that bubs head is at the brim of your pelvis, so just starting to engage.

If you look through your notes, there should be a page in there which explains it all (or there is in mine anyway!)

XX

Ceph long brim means head down but not engaged as of yet (almost is)

Hope this helps.. xx

Aw fab thankyou both for getting back to me :) in have a look in my notes for that page :) xx

Ceph - head first, long is explaining your baby's lie in relation to you (so idealy, one pole - the head is south, the other pole - the bum is up the top of your uterus with it's spine doing down the left/right of your abdomen, (other lie's are transverse or oblique for example). Sounds like baby's head is mostly out of the pelvis than in which is normal at this gestation.
