This isnmy 5th time being on the monitor and every time babys heart rate has been between 134 and 144. They keep askin me to lie on my side and try and get her heart rate up and to get hwr to move. Is this normal? Im not too sure whats going to happen :/ they havent said much today

I have no idea what's normal as this is my first but I'm sure my last MW appointment at 32 weeks LOs heartbeat was 146 if that helps.

Cx

I aint a clue chick im
Just a Lil worried as with my other 3 they were between 146 and 155 at bout this stage. Can feel her moving around fine etc x

I was monitored 3-4 times last week during an overnight stay in hospital and on my first time one baby was 150ish and the other was 120-130 and the 2 other times they were both between 120-140 and the last time one was 120-140 and the other was 150ish throughout and when I asked the midwife she said it was normal for them to vary between 120-160 usually. the only time they were worried and the reason they kept me in was because the one baby who was at 150 on the first reading kept dipping during braxton hicks and setting the alarm on the monitor off a few times. Im not sure about movement wise as a couple of times the midwives had to sit and hold the monitor on them as they kept wriggling off it. I do know I heard them saying they like to see it fluctuating as baby moves as the heart rate will go up a bit whilst they're moving and settle back to the base rate when they stop like our would if we were to exercise. Hope that makes sense hun xxx

My little one is always between 150-165. They have told me anything from 120 -170 is classed as good. I would of thought that your little ones heart rate is fine. When I have been monitored the ask me to wiggle her or drink water to get her to move as when your on the ECG machine that's how u the machine meets the criteria and then u can come off it. So maybe them doing this to u was to get her to move so heart rate varies to meet criteria to take I off monitor if that makes sense xx

My baby is always between 130 and 150 which is apparently normal, when I was on a trace it occasionally shot up to 175. I was worried that this was too high but the midwife said they like to see accelerations and decelerations because it shows that baby is moving and responsive.

Have they given you a button to press when you feel a movement? They like you to feel so many movements within a time frame before they'll give you the ok and take you off the trace.

My baby was between 134 and 144 at my 28 week appointment and midwife said that was ideal for my stage...! Good luck x

I think anything between 120 and 170 Is ok. When you are on the monitor they want baby to move to see that the heart accelerates when baby moves. I was induced with my son due to reduced movements.

they seem to be okay with it but going to pass on the print outs from the monitor to the consultant who is looking after me and i've gotta see him on monday due to other problems with this pregnancy.
she did move but not as much as to what she normally does. but they're happish non the less.
i've had to have numerous tests done over the last 2 days due to pre-eclampsia so everything is just up in the air at the min, just glad that they have caught it early x
