I know it isnt long but I just want him or her out NOW

it doesn't help that between now and then all I have planned is a friend's birthday, a wedding, and me and my sister's birthdays.
and a few trips to shops...
can anyone think of ANYTHING I can do to entertain myself, I have absolutely nothing to do for the next 5 days

How about making your own xmas cards or birth announcement cards, you won't have time tok do them afterwards!
