Why am i so tired all the time?? It's getting me down a little, i have absolutely no excuse for being tired, and i have so many assignemnts i need to be doing but all i wanna do is sleep!!
If im this bad now what am i going to be like when i get bigger or shes here!!
I've been going to bed around 11, getting up 2/4 times a night for toilet trips and finally climbing outta bed between 10 and 11am, this should be more then enough sleep but its not working :wall:
I'm dreading work tomorrow 7:30 i've gotta be there and concentrating, its just not going to happen!!!

Apart from carrying and nurturing a new living being inside of your tummy! :D

You have every excuse to be tired. Some people are not really affected and can carry on until 35 weeks without feeling really bad. I know I was shattered by 27 weeks! I had to leave work at 29 weeks, I couldn't possibly imagine having to drag myself into work everyday past that point.

Don't be hard on yourself. Your body is working very hard at the moment and you are not getting a full unbroken night's sleep. Is there anyway you can have a power nap during the afternoon/evening?

Maybe you could try going to bed a wee bit earlier too (have a lovely warm bath first to get you ready), it might help.

Hope you feel less tired soon - take care of yourself!

I was feeling this way earlier in my pregnancy so I did a couple of things which really helped. Try to cut down as much as possible on wheat, it is very hard for the body to diguest. Eat plenty of fruit especially pears. Try to cut down as much as possible on dairy products, sweets and chocolates too. I'm not saying don't have any of these but you will be amazed at the difference if you go a few days without and then only have a bit. After a few days you should notice a higher energy level, so perhaps start taking a short walk and see ifyou can get it up to 20mins a day. Swimming is also brilliant and gives the baby a chance for some more freedom.

I am now 31 weeks and have tons of energy. I wouldn't say my diet is perfect but I have tried to stick to the above guidelines and feel great. We went to the lake district last week for a little break and I walked at least 6 miles every day and it felt wonderful. I have more energy now then when I was 22 weeks and feel really confident about the labour because I feel so fit.

It is amazing how much better you feel with a few endorphines floating around and the baby gets the buzz from them too. You don't need to go to the gym, just do a little walk each day.

I hope you feel better soon. It's really poo to feel sluggish.

Becs xx

You should be having your blood taken again at 28 weeks there may be a chance you are slightly anemic? Its not uncommon during pregnancy but tiredness is a symptom. Would be worth mentioning it to your MW.

I will mention it as my mum has mentioned it too, and she's constantly saying how pale i look and i'm always cold too. I may look at my diet too, its not the best atm, thankx everyone, i feel better knwoing others have bee ntired too

hello
I hit 27 weeks and was very tired, I left work not long after, i was aneamic and kept getting urine infections....you just take it easy hun, it isn't easy on some ladies....my boss is sailing through her pregnancy and i have had 6 weeks out of the whole time feeling ok

It sounds like that you may be anemic. I was, and they gave me iron tablets. Tbh I had just taken being tired as an extra (yet a little annoying) sympton of pregnancy. After being on the iron tablets for few weeks I suddenly rediscovered my energy which was fab!

If you look under your lower eye lids are they quite pale (if yes it could be a sign of anemia)?

In regards to your toilet trips, I hate to break the news but it is most likely that later in your pregnangy your trips will increase quite considerably from your current two....

Good luck
