Have any of you heard of this . . . I am approx 11 weeks PG . . or was, i think i'm having a mc . . .

I started belleding yesterday lunchtime and it's been continous since then . . not clotting and not real cramps, sharp pains occasionaly . . i would have been due on this weekend (as my cycles were 26 days) and i do feel a bit periody

I have a scan on monday at 3pm at the Early preganncy antenatal clinic . . but just have this feeling it's all gone . .
I went up a and e yesterday and they did an internal and said i was stil 'closed' and so go home and rest, that was about it . . (i pushed for a scan)

my Mother in law keeps going on aboot loads of people have a thee months 'show' or bleed - but I've never heard of it??????

I've definitely heard that it can be more common to get bleeding when you were due on, although not heard anything particularly about three months. I don't want to give you false hope, but I honestly don't think you should give up just yet as you're not getting any cramps and it's not clotty. So sorry it's such a long time for you to wait for the scan, but fingers crossed all will be okay for you hon. Try and take reassurance that A&E were optimistic. Have some of these for now       and just try and get through the weekend x

Thats so spooky.
I went up for a bath before, went for a wee first, and there was blood. So I've just spent ages in the bath talking myself down. And trying to decide what to do with myself.
I'd be due on around about now, and i had some bleeding around 5/6 weeks, but nothing since.
Have some *hugs* and I hope the scan goes ok on monday.
Splash ty for being vigilant with your replies as always
xx

Aw JD, don't panic honey x yours definitely sounds like period time spotting since you had it before as well   for you too. Thinking of you both x

lol. all i can think now is... "was vigilant the right word to use"
i'm currently making myself hold off going to "check" cos i know if theres more i'll go into another tear filled frenzy..
I had a bad cough attack randomly before (dust set me off i think) so at the moment i'm blaming the horrible coughs but if it gets worse G's said he'll take me to a&e if it'll calm me down.
Housey, you can come round to mine and we can worry together if you want? Hope you're ok. xx

I have heard of bleeding or spotting during pregnancy but like the others not around the "3 month mark specifically"
I had spotting on week 8, 9 and 10 on 4 occasions but it wasnt continuous just very light not lasting very long this was also with annoying cramps.
I had a scan at 8 weeks to check everything was ok and it was fortunately. The nurse said to me it is common to get some bleeding(spotting) around 8 weeks as its implantation bleeding and not to worry. She said only come back if you get heavier bleeding (like a period) and its painful.Since i have had spotting since my 8 week scan, i have my 12 week scan on mon and am praying everything is still ok.
But saying that i know people who had periods all the way through their pregnancies and didnt realise they were even pregnant, and the same with spot bleeding all the way through.
Also my friend said when she was pregnant, she would have bad cramps every month around time of her period.
It is frightening, and i know exactly how you feel cos everytime i had spotting i would cry thinking the worst. But you really have to think positive, thinking the worst makes you stress even more and thats not good for you or baby. Im sure everything will be ok,and wish you all the best.

i havent heard of a 3 month thing specifically but iv heard of women getting periods throughout. hope all is ok    x

I had a twelve week scan once and all was well. I went to work the next day stood up from my desk and the place suddenly looked like a massacre! There was blood everywhere! I hadn't even told them I was pregnant yet so had to explain I was having a miscarriage. They had to call an ambulance as it was that bad. When I got to a&e they scanned me and bubs was fine much to my amazement!!! He's 6 now. :D So I have defo heard of bleeding at 3 months!

Hope things are ok  Try and keep thinking positive.

Sarah

I've just had some more blood.
OH is so calm (annoying much!!!) and I don't know what to do, I mean its Sunday so theres not much point going to the hospital, but i've had this dull pain down my left side for most of today and now more blood.
I just want to go and hide somewhere, finding it hard to stay calm?
What would you do?
Sorry for being a pain.
xx

I would defo go to hospital if I was you. Maybe ring NHS direct see what they say??

Thanks Sarah. He's still being all calm.
I think I'm going to see if I can get hold of one of the midwifes or something, if not i'll ring nhs direct.
xx

I've managed to speak to a midwife and they've just recommended rest as theres not much they could do. But if it gets worse she said I can goto a&e, but they'll probably say the same. :?
Still not sure what I'm going to do yet, but thank you for the advice and stuff girls.
xx

Aw sweetie, thinking of you x if it's no better tomorrow try and get them to see you at teh EPU, it's a long time to wait till your scan on Friday in this situation. Sure all is okay though

Thanks Splash.
I'm so all over the place right now. I keep trying to visualise a healthy pregnancy in the hope that a p.m.a might help.
And I'm tempted to go in tonight so that I'm already in the system in the morning iykwim?
I don't think I could handle if everything goes wrong.. 8's meant to be a lucky number
xx

I really feel for you honey, can't imagine how horrible it must feel for you after so much heartache in the past. But just try and focus on the fact that nothing you do or don't do can change what's meant to happen - I know that probably doesn't help much but spending all night camped on the EPU doorstep isn't going to help calm you down iykwim! Like you say, pma is always good, and I firmly believe that this one's sticking honey - everything crossed for you, get yourself down to the hospital tomorrow and let us know what happens. In the meantime try and get at least some sleep

I still find it amazing, the lack of emergency anti natal care available to women. The most distressing thing in pregnancy is to blees and usually all that is needed is a quick scan so at least we all know one way or the other. There really should be better "out of hrs" emergency care for pregnant women. It's hard to rest and keep calm when your frightened that you could be loosing your baby.

I really feel for you and I hope that everything is ok. They have scanners on a&e to check for internal bleeding so I see no reason why they can't give you a quick scan so at leat you will know.

I had a bleed at 12 weeks and like you was petrified. Had my scan booked in for 3 days later, so decided to wait for that, but had half convinced myself that it had gone. Anyway - it was fine. Try and sleep and go to EPU tomorrow.

And for any London based women, St Thomas's Hospital has got a 24hour Emergency Gynaecology Unit.

I'm amazed that there's nothing they can do, I hope your PMA keeps you going and I don't really know what else to say except I hope the bleeding stops and all goes well from now on.
