Isla's struggling with her milk again...
She's just had her first bottle and only took 2oz - a new low!

I just hate the days like this when I constantly worry about whether she'll reach 20oz.

I've stopped worrying Hun Tegan drunk 13oz all day yesterday and has just had 3oz of her morning bottle the Dietician told me last week Aslong as she is gaining some weight however slowly Not to worry about it. easier said than done i know :hugs: xx

Thanks! I've got to phone up today to make an appt with the Dietitian so hopefully it won't be too long now...

Aww try not to worry! Does she have days where she has more than 20oz to make up for it?

Oz is booby fed and I always used to worry if he would only feed for a few mins thinking he's never getting any hind milk etc etc, but he's 5 months old now and has always gained never lost, apart from the normal loss after birth. It's something that doesn't worry me at all now, they feed when they're hungry and take what they need, and the last thing I wanna do is try to feed him more than he wants and end up giving him food issues as he gets older.

Not easy but try not to worry and follow her lead, like ZMD said as long as it's gaining, even tiny amounts, it's ok xxxxxx

Thanks everyone (as always). I know I should worry less and honestly I do have good days!

She sometimes has 21-22oz and had a week back in April where she had almost 30oz every day so maybe she is just going to grow in spurts!

Im sure Isla is fine, does she drink other fluids? the Dietician told me to make sure she drinks a few oz of water a day so she doesn't get dehydrated x

is she on milk only? cos they say when babies are getting ready to be weaned sometimes they slow down on the milk intake?! so she might be better when shes on solids, maybe she just not fussed on milk :) good luck xxx
