Me and OH have agreed to start trying for another baby next year :cheer: but it has got me thinking, do you still get as excited in your 2nd pregnancy? cos your first everything is new and amazing and you havent been through labour  before  just wanting to get how you felt about your 2nd?

I think it was more exciting first time round, but it's still exciting though ;)

its definately more exciting the first time round. This time, I forget I even am pregnant...last time it was my only waking thought :rotfl: :rotfl:

Defintely exciting still, but it doesnt have that 'new' feeling. Still amazing though!

Me and DH are trying for number 2 next year too :cheer: (when Maddison is a year old). I'm already excited about the prospect so I imagine its just as exciting 2nd time round :D

First time is definitely more exciting. Second time round is a lot calmer though.... you're body kinda just knows what its doing.. :) Don't expect the same level of help or sympathy the second time round. Kids, especially small ones, don't understand why mummy can't carry them around a lot or run around after them all the time... and well it doesn't stop the socks being left on the floor or reduce the amount of chores...

But I have to admit, I've had more problems this time round, but it's been easier....if that makes any sense

2nd time its going far quicker as im not as excited over every niggly feeling, so im enjoying it more, doesnt feel like a drag

i found second time around just as exciting but i did have a 4 1/2 yr gap so could be why. also second time around you get more aches and pains becus your body adapts to pregnancy quicker so u get a bump quicker and pelvis softens quicker which means it gets irratated easier. it was still an amazing experience tho and just as good as first time round. the worry is slightly less but all pregnancies are worrying no matter how many times you have been through it.

one thing i did find is that people arent really interested in your pregnancy second time around especially family!! but that can sometimes be a good thing as people didnt want to give me all there dos and dont this time round cus i wasnt naive and impressionable lol.

Yeah I found that too, the baby doesn't get as much attention as the 1st either which annoyed me a bit. You hardly get any mw appointments to go to either when its not your 1st so that doesn't help when your trying to get exited.

On the upside though, I have found that my midwife is a lot more receptive to my problems and issues this time round, because I can say... "well last time .... " and there's not much they can say because you have experience. :)

i'm another one who's going to be trying next year... i'm booking a seat now in the trying room! looks like it's gonna be busy. Also 2nd time around for me! i'm hoping i'll enjoy it more because i wont be as worried as i was about the first.

good!! shame there isn't a waiting for TTC bit on forum lol

the way i feel right now, is im too busy to really think about it, with my LO. With hannah i was thinking about my belly/bean ALL the time, looking out for every twinge and ache. lol.

The last few days ive been quite emotional about it, which has got me down, hannahs been hard work recently so im only too aware that im gonna have double trouble this time next year. lol. I havent got rose tinted glasses on this time round wich can only be a good thing. :)
