^^^ thats an awesome idea! Even for non pregnnacy times, we've got a king size bed now but in the past when we had double beds we were constantly fighting over the duvet!!
 
oh i'm the same - i'm sorry that you're suffering from this so early on! i haven't been able to get a good nights kip for a week now and it's really affecting my moods. i keep tossing and turning and it's just too darn hot!! when baby is wanting to stay in position though what i do (and it usually helps) is put a pillow or big teddy underneath my bump and it feels a lot better! and helps me drift off.. and if you're too hot get a water spray thing.. i'm gonna get one soon! works wonders xxx
 
oph girls, I had the worst nights sleep last night. My hips started aching lying on my sides no matter how I positioned myself. It wasnt painful but you know when you've been on your feet all day and your legs ache? well it ws like that but in my pelvis. In the end I was trying to sleep sitting up slumped over a pile of pillows when my OH woke up and was like WTF are you doing?! I burst into tears saying "Im not gonna sleep for the next 3 months :cry:"

He went into the spare room and made me a little den in the bed with a hole inthe middle for my bump. It worked and I slept on my front comfortably for the first time in months! :yay: He rolled up a double duvet to go under my thighs/hips, 2 pillows either side of me pointing up to support my sides and chest, and 3 pillows for my head. Once I got in he padded me out with sofa cushions to make sure my back wasnt in an awkward position. It was awesome, I didnt wanna get out this morning! Shame I only got it sorted at 4am. I got 3 hours though! Todays work is gonna be interesting!
 
Awww bless ya! I'm starting to find it increasingly hard to get sleep atm :-( I've always slept on my front until about 12-14 weeks.

I have one of those long pillows on 'pg 1' - it's amazing! I fling one leg over it, twist my hips so i'm resting most of bump on pillow but part of my hips are flat on bed and twist my front so i'm nearly on my front. I have to fling my arm over OH to support myself but it works! Poor bugger has to sleep on his right side every night though or I don't sleep! Well...it's a small sacrifice for him compared to what we've gotta go through eh? ;-) Hehe!
 
awww Tiny, that's soo sweet. If my OH can't sleep he normally grabs his pillows and heads for the spare room in a huff and a puff lol

I dont think i'm looking forward to being big this summer, i dont sleep well in the heat as it is, let alone with a great big bump :(
 
i was sleeping great until night before last and i got woke up at 6 by lil man fidgiting i think he was rearranging my womb haha x
 
lol! i don't envy you being pregnant in summer if you are, it's already getting so humid at the minute and i've not been able to sleep since!! i've seriously tried everything, but nope, nothing! what i need it a good ol' bed made of ice!!! do they exist?! haha

awww tiny, you're OH sounds so sweet and considerate bless him. i hope we all find comfy positions soon or we're gonna be very tired mummys! xxx
 
Well i can get comfy with my extra pillows but last night was my worst nights sleep ever. Its my OH he went out with mates for a few drinks and was out cold snoring, flipping his arms and almost pushing me out of bed at one point! I would usually kip on the sofa but it has been making my hips ache and my back worse. I was not a happy bunny today and told him next time he has a drink he is banished to the spare room!
 
Oh you guys just reminded me of my GP's suggestions, he said if you have a three seater sofa with removable cushions to take the middle one out and lie on your front (mine only has two big cushions :( ) Or he said to go to the beach and dig out a hole for your bump and lie face down. Now the latter is a great suggestion, just not in April, in Scotland and not advisable to sleep on a beach at night!
 
My OH told me this morning i had been fideting because i had to keep tossing and turning all night. The pillow worked for the first night but second and third the pillow fell off the bed :( poor other half lol. I havent got a single duvet other wise id use one.
So not being able to be comftable now days its just getting stupid boo hoo lol :(
i dont think i wana be on a beach an then poss wake up to find out the tides out and then im floating on water lol. your gp's funny lolx

Im knackered today i hope i sleep well tonight :mad:lol.
that looks really comftable but i cant afford one just yet :( hope i can get comftable sometime near the end or is this the end of the comftableness lol x
