20 weeks scan

I got my 20 week scan on saturday what do they do in this scan is it differnt from the dating scan x

It is basically the same, well mine was. It takes a bit longer cos they look in detail at things like the face, spine and chambers of the heart. After playing us up on the 12 week scan, I was expecting him to do the same at the 20 week scan, but she got all the measurements she needed and she was happy to check his gender.

I thought they would measure him, but she said the don't really do that this scan.

They check the baby for any problems, it's a much more detailed scan than the first.

I found it so amazing to see the difference and how much the baby had developed from the 12 week scan.
