Hello Ladies,

I'm afraid I don't seem to get on here nearly as much as I did last time, hope everyone's doing ok. I cannot believe i'm half way through already, its going so fast. I'm really excited for my scan tomorrow, and hope they can tell me what i'm having. I'm convinced its a little girl this time, but hopefully this time tomorrow i'll know. It goes without saying I'm hoping all is well and as it should be with the LO but I worried about it so much with my little boy I didn't enjoy it so i'm trying to stay really positive this time x

ohhh good luck for tomorrow hun. And enjoy it
Im counting down the days till my 20 week scan

Good luck :) hope they can tell you sex of baby!

x

good luck today, bet your well excited now :) im counting down till mine (next monday!!!) hope you get the answer you want, pink/blue/yellow!!! xxx

My scan is on the 23rd so not long to go now. How did your scan go hun ?

Still team yellow! Scan wasn't great to be honest, the women was very quick and couldn't get us out of there quick enough. She quickly showed us baby then turned the screen to do her checks, said babys healthy but placenta is very low and totally blocking cervix so need another scan at 34 weeks. Now without actually knowing what it means i'd wondered if I had a posterior placenta just because the kicks felt further away than they did with william.

After a couple of questions she reluctantly told me it meant I would most likely need a c-section, that although sometimes it moves it was very unlikely because its completely obstructing the placenta. She said the babies legs were shut so she couldn't tell what it is, I thought they could see ovaries etc if present, but I don't think she was interested in the slightest. When OH asked about scan picture, she said oh I didn't realise you wanted one and had to put more jelly on my tummy and took a quick shot which ended up just being of mostly spine, not worth uploading its that bad and unclear. I'm so upset, i'm also confused because I originally want a home birth but this was ruled out because i'm a GBS carrier and need antibiotics during labour, but I won't be in labour for a elective section so not sure the impact of this on the baby. I also hate the idea of being apart from William, he'll only be just over 1 and we've never been apart. Sorry for the rambling, going to post this on a seperate thread as need as much advice as i can get, my OH keeps saying it will be ok but it doesn't feel ok. I am greatful that the baby looks healthy though and am trying to stay positive, thanks for everyones best wishes x

that is so bad hun. they should do a rescan before 34 weeks. i would ring midwife and tell her what happened. my midwife wasn't happy with the report for my scan so got me to ring hospital and demand they recheck all my images and rebook if my placenta was low.

mine was low one week and high the next(baby was misbehaving so had a recan the week after)

get onto them hun it's not far to treat you like that. xxx

Oh thanks honey, thats good to know, i will do. I think i am likely to chance hospitals in the next couple of weeks anyway, I just seem to have bad experiences with this one, but my midwife advised me to wait until after 20 week scan x
