1st time

Hi all i have just found out i am Pregnant, roughly 7 weeks, i went to the docs all they did is ask for a urine sample i got the results from the nurse the other day and she told me basically what i all ready knew that the test was posetive, so unsure what to expect i asked so what happens next??
she said we will refer you to a midwife and they will be in contact in a couple of weeks??
is this normal just thought to be a little strange??

Hello! Congratulations on your bfp!

That's all normal. The midwife will book you in around 8-10 weeks then arrange your scan. Its odd the way you're just left in limbo after the euphoria of getting a bfp!

well I never went to the docotr both times. I just phoned the midwifey number and booked my appointment then and there. x Its different in different areas x COngrats on your BFP.

I'd look up early pregnancy and what you need to do, eat and how to manage yourself if your unsure.

ALso are you taking folic acid?x

Congratulations of your exciting news! I know what you mean - it all feels like you're in a bit of a limbo at the moment until your MW appointment. Just take time to relax and look after yourself and get used to the idea that you are going to be a Mummy! xx

yea i do feel a little bit in limbo, i have been reading on what to expect in these early stages, suppose ill just have to wait for that call!

And yes i have started taking folice acid tablets started as soon as i found out, how long do you take them for?

up to 12 weeks after that there is no need for them as baby is fully formed x
