First of all congratulations on reaching EC day tomorrow this is a great milestone. I was told to get to the hospt for 7 am for my EC, the nurse asked me to change into the gown and relax on the bed and read the magazine. The nurses then took my weight, height etc the consultant then talked me through the procedure. I then walked into the EC room and I remember the room being quite full I was sedated and after that I remember being back on the ward with oh and asking how many eggs had been retrieved I was quite sleepy and remember being quite tender on the tummy but it was soon sorted with paracetamol I then had about 30 mins of snoozing before the nurse offered me some tea and toast which I really enjoyed from starving myself before the EC. The nurse then encouraged me to get up and go to the toilet which I was fine walking but felt quite tender using the loo.
I rested for the next few days and waited for the call to tell us about the fertilisation rate. It's such an emotional time but rewarding at the same time. I wish you all the luck in the world and I'll be looking for your updates over the next few weeks.
Xx

Thanks for that Clairabella!!

I was there at 7.30am this morning, it was a little daunting!! they retrieved 11 eggs so I will now just have to wait until tomorrow morning for 'the call' to let me know how many/if any fertilised!! eek!!! this is such an anxious time!!

Fingers crossed for you, hopefully get some good little embies on board :-) 11 is good. I'm so nervous about starting my treatment at any point. Just need af. I'd have to stay up in London if we make it as far as ec ( fingers crossed) as would also want me there at 7am.. Keep us posted on any news xx
