i cnt believe it, nausea every day since week 6 then last week it got worse and was throwing up, not good, went to docs today and told them it's controlling my life etc, cant do anything, find it hard to eat, but as im not throwing up all the time and can actually keep food down (admitidly feel slightyl better today) then they wont give me medication.

was anyone else sick all the way through or found it go worse? I really want to have more than one baby and so scared this is going to put me off for life, i jsut want to feel 'normal' again and be able to do normal things like stop feeling like a waste of space coz i cant do the stupid hoovering or feel up to going out for dinner. :( :( :( Someone please give me some hope that it will stop sooner than after the baby arrives! xxx

I'm still being sick although it is starting to ease a little.

The Dr can prescribe you anti sickness tablets even just for nausea. It relaxes the stomach muscles hence stopping you from feeling sick (supposedly, they never worked for me though despite trying 3 different ones). Worth a try though x

If it does carry on the whole way through it will stop after as it's the pregnancy hormone that causes it

I have been sick almost every day since week 6. I'm getting used to it but i totally sympathise as it does get me down a bit sometimes. I told my husband that this baby better be a good one as i'm not sure i want to do all this again  People keep telling me it will be worth it and i'm sure they're right. The doctor told me that if i'm keeping food down (which i am) then its best not to take medication. So we just have to suffer!
Hope we both start to feel better soon. Just a few days off sickness would be great

I was given some tablets for nausea, called Stemetil by my doctor and im not physically being sick, its just for when I feel real nauseous!! They dont stop me gagging but they do tend to take the edge off. I did go into the doctors crying my eyes out though saying I couldnt cope feeling sick anymore and that I had a toddler to deal with.

I know its safe to take these tablets when pregnant, maybe its worth going to see another GP?

Thanks guys - yeah Jaidy my OH said that all GPs probably say different things. She reckoned they didnt know the effect of taking them so only give me in the severest of cases where people are hospitalised. I'll see how i feel next week and go back again if it's not eased or got worse and demand tablets! Big hugs to all the sickies out there, it's a tough job innit! xxx

ah sweetheart!

i so feel for you

whoever named it morning sickness was a big fat liar!! I dont suffer now unless I eat certain foods. But the period I did suffer was horrendous and the doc gave me some tablets beginning with a c. They did work as in I felt I could live ha. I am a teacher and it was really hard being at work. I have actually said that its put me off any more children, however, all pregnancy's are diff and there is a light at the tunnel. I feel brill now. Even if it lasts full term it will go hunni xxxxxxxxx

my friend had sickness tablets and she was never hospitalised, so i dunno why your GP said that. in my opinion (completely non professionall) yes there might be certain risks associated with some tablets during pregnancy, BUT it cant be much fun for baby if you're feeling that poorly

my sickness was at its worse 18-19 weeks, after disappearing for a bit (typical) but it went at about 20 weeks

I know exactly how you feel with my first pregnancy the minute I found out I was pregnant I had sickness up until 7mths. I was put on medication because I tore the inside of my throat.

Now with this pregnancy I'm sick 24 hrs a day I cant do anything I wish i'd just vomit sometimes because the feeling of wanting to vomit and not vomiting is far more worse.

Anyway hope your feel better soon.x
