16 wk check today but a bit of a scare yesterday!

I have my 16 week checkup today. Really looking forward to it. It seems to have come round so quickly.

However I ended up at the PAU yesterday after little one giving me a bit of a scare. I ended up bent over in pains so rang midwife who told me to go straight to hospital to get checked over. The midwifes, nurses and doctor was absolutely fantastic. Explained everything so I could understand and were really nice saying any little thing just ring up or pop in. I was thinking they'd be annoyed at wasting there time but they were so lovely. Turns out that I had something in my urine, which could just be a water infection so they've sent it away for further tests. Also had a couple of swabs taken as things just didn't look right 'down there'. Apparently there's something up with my cervix so they've sent away for more tests.

I also heard baby's heartbeat for the first time ever and it was absolutely amazing!! Just wish Daddy had been there to hear it too. However the nurse said to me that I'd get the same at my check tomorrow with the midwife. I can't wait!! I'm gonna see if my midwife will let me record the sound on my phone so I can play it back to OH as he'll miss out again with being at work. (Plus I get to listen to it again and again!! lol) Do you think the midwife will let me do that? I've not met her yet, but if she's as nice as the rest I've dealt with so far I'm sure she will. Fingers crossed!! xxx

Hiya just to say hope you are feeling much better - i think its amazing that you are getting briliant care.
Yes you should be able to record heartbeat its your baby when we have our mw ap next wed we are going to too. Your mobile will not i wouldnt have thought interfere with any machines etc
Infact we had 3 scans so far and the 2 early ones they wouldnt give us scan pictures but looking back wish we had used our phones and took pics ourselves lol.
