I got to hear the heartbeat too! She asked and I about took her hand off 
Heart beat was 150, I have my gender scan on Wednesday so will be an interesting theory to test

Awww sebbiesmum!! Bet you can't wait! Yes it will be so interesting to hear what gender you are having, especially as our heartbeats were similar ...

I have a Doppler and the heartbeat is 150. I have a gender scan booked for Thursday so will be able to test the theory out too

I'm almost 16w and hubby bought me a home Doppler for £40, its amazing! Whenever I start to feel a bit anxious we just use the Doppler and can hear the heart beat soooo loud and strong, its so lovely to hear. We even have to chase after baby sometimes as it keeps moving around so the heartbeat is in a different place every few seconds lol.
I really highly recommend getting one to settle your nerves. Before we got ours people kept saying that its hard to find babies heart beat and it can easily be mistaken and that sometimes you cant find it at all etc. We got the Doppler at 12w and have had no problems finding baby, its a very unique sound over everything else and sounds like a cantering horse, there's only been once that we couldn't find it
