13 months TTC and just feel like it's not meant to me

Hi Sel,

I'm really sorry you're going through such a tough time TTC - it can be sooo stressful!

I had been off birth control for coming on 3 years and had not been using any sort of protection since. I went to the Dr back in June 2017 as my cycles were quite long and inconsistent and I was diagnosed with PCOS. I was told I would not be able to have kids without medical intervention. I really wanted it to happen 'naturally' so I did LOADS of reading up on PCOS and came across something called Inofolic which is a combo of folic acid and myo-inositol. It's used to level out your hormones as a PCOS sufferer but also increases egg quality so can be used by anyone.

I started taking Inofolic end November and booked an appointment with a fertility specialist for further investigation in the meantime. I had my blood tests booked in to check hormone levels as you did for mid Feb, but didn't need to go in the end as found out I was pregnant a week before I was due the tests!!! Honestly, I couldn't believe it after everything I had been told and how long I had been trying, but I honestly think the Inofolic has everything to do with it. I know people are probably sick of me banging on about it but honestly, it changed everything for me and I cannot recommend this stuff enough (I sound like a walking ad for Inofolic!).

Wanted to pass this on as I think it's definitely worth a shot before you consider IVF.

xx

X_sel_x - I am sorry, however IVF is more affordable at IVF clinics abroad. Do yr research. Good luck

Hi, I'm kind of in the same boat. Currently on month 11 of TTC. Been sent for all tests (bloods, swabs and ultrasound and DH sperm analysis) which all came back fine. We have an appointment with the fertility clinic on 5th April and on the forms I have to fill in before I go it asks when I had my Rubella vaccination. I am 28 and had mine in 2006 which means I would have been 16/17years old. Does this means I'll be the same and have to have it again?!?! I'll be devastated if they tell me il have to stop TTC for 2months!!

I’m pretty sure if you’ve had the mmr jab at some point, you’ll be fine, as long as you’re still immune (which they can check with a blood test). I was in the age bracket where they didn’t do the full mmr jabs when I was young, so I wasn’t immune.
