1 year + - Toddler Milk Or Cows Milk?

For Mummies who formula fed or have done the switch before or just after their LO was 1 ...

Did you go to Toddler milk, cows milk or a mixture?

Caitlin didn't like milk so that was easy despite trying!

With my first son once he turned 1 i moved him to cows milk, he loved it so that worked out great. With my daughter well she's 2 and still on the 1 year + milk!! she is so fussy she wont drink cows milk from her beaker, but has it on her cereal!! My 11 month likes cows mike so he'll have that when he turns 1. x

I gave Megan cows milk in her beaker this morning and she drank most of it without a turn of her nose. Its a case of is toddler milk going to be better for her or is it a load of toss bonus is my eldest the no milk girl seems to like pinching Megans cow cup so she gets some milk now from a cup What Megan has Caitlin wants because apparantly "ITS MINE" ha!

We went straight to Toddler milk with the odd cows milk bottle every so often.
AJ has never ate very well so wanted to make sure he was getting some much needed vits and iron.

Now at 17mths (tomorrow) he's having cows in the am and Toddler at night.

Reminds me I need some more kiddies vit medicine!

At 1 is a cup in moring cup at night how you did it? Hope so coz thats how I am and like Caitlin she has NO bottle just beakers

Dec went straight to cows milk at 11 months, he was never a fan of milk at all, he would only take it when it was hot, but now at 2.5 years he is starting to drink it straight from the fridge. x

I put Evie on growing up milk a few weeks ago but she didn't like it, and after reading about it on here we tried cows milk and she really loves it. She drinks much more of it (8 - 9 oz) than formula and it is gone in mins. The only thing I've found is she has woken at night hungry a few times and needed milk to settle again which isn't like her, she hasn't done that for a long time while on formula, not sure if it's related or not

Were naughty, AJ still has bottles for his milk.
He has it when he gets up before brekkie and before bed.

We haven't pushed the cup as he's fussy with his food but recently found the toddler milk in the am was filling him too much so he wasn't eating!
Milk in a cup is next on the list of to do....

Ha yea we get "ITS MINE" all the time The 1 year + milk contains more iron etc but if your child is getting enough calcium through the day, cereal, cheese, yogurts then cows milk shoud be fine My hv told me to stop giving meghan the 1 year milk and just to offer her cows milk if she doesn't drink it then let it go, she does have alot of yogurts, ect but i still worry she's not getting enough..... but she will be doing without the 1 year milk cos of what calcium she has in the day lovely name meghan by the way

Case of all kids different. I seen a girl go into nursery the other day who looked a lil older then Caitlin with a bottle of milk. Keep in mind my Caitlin was a NIGHTMARE with milk.

Megan was great, had a while where she had moments and drove me mad but went back to taking milk no problemo - The bonus in this case was Megan liked her sisters 360 cup but I could not get her to any other cup/beaker and the 360 don't like milk so I got the same brand but that cow cup that MM recommended and its perfect! She wanted to be like her sister so that was how we got her off bottles.

How old was Meghan when she went to cows milk?

Megan drinks cows milk fine (tried a second time) ...didn't flinch or turn her nose once.

Nim went onto toddler milk, which made her really ill so we went onto cows milk. HV told me that as long as shes eating a good diet, toddler milk is a waste of time as they get everything they need from their food! Was happy not to pay the prices tbh

Nim is still a nightmare with milk, and will only take it in a bottle. Thankfully that's only at night now though! But it's started becoming a comfort thing to her so trying to get her off is proving difficult!
