Right im just going to write down what my daughter has day to day to see if its any different or if anyone could suggest maybe 'more filling' foods as my daughter still gets up twice a night for milk.
Over the last few months ive tried everything, and somtimes i think ive made it worse! lol.

9am - porridge and a full bananna
12pm - fruite peices (melen and kiwi)
12.30 - milk (for nap)
2-3pm - 2 slices of bread (brown nutty type) with a filling. (usually tuna and sweetcorn/egg mayo/cheese tomatoe)Or Fish fingers (4) Or Pizza fingers (2 or 3) bottle of juice

4-5pm - crisps, fruite, maybe a carrot just to chew on etc.

5.30/6pm Large jar of food. Like lancashier hotpot/spag bol etcetc. And one (adult) yogurt. bottle of water

7pm - Milk

(1am milk and about 6am - milk)

I personaly think shes eats plenty but shes a BIG girl (99%ile) (looks more like a two year old)
Do you think shes getting enough??

cant advise you but will be interested in any replies, Matilda is also big for her age.
this is her typical day:

8am(ish) 61/2 oz bottle milk
9.30am (ish) cereal (ready brek/weetabix etc) mixed with fruit
12.30(ish) savoury dinner - depends what i cook, eg, spag bol, tuna pasta, cauliflower cheese etc, always give her some pieces of cheese, ham, fruit to eat, baby yoghurt or fruit puree
4.30pm custartdy type thingy that you get over here
6.30-7pm 61/2 oz bottle milk
she has water whenever she wants during day
very very occasionally she'll wake in night and want another bottle

Tom is on the 99th centile too!

I think you should try and cut out those night time bottles though as she may be filling up on milk and therefore not taking as much food during the day.

Also, she's probably learnt now that if she cries/wakes in the night then she's going to get milk. We had that problem too so just slowly reduced down the amount of scoops so it was more watery until I was giving him just one scoop in 2 oz water. Then I just cut it out.

Here's how Tom was eating at 1 year...

Milk @ 7am
Porridge and fruit@ 8am
Snack about 10am
Lunch at 11.30am (full jar and yoghurt)
Snack about 3.30pm
Tea at 5pm (spag bol/fish pie etc. plus rice pudding)
Milk @ 7pm

Plus lots of water throughout the day.

Hope that helps.

Nathans another big one for his age and here's an idea of what he eats.

7am 9oz of milk
8am 1 weetabix or bowl of porridge plus banana
12 pm 2 rounds of bread with cheese, ham ect or beans on toast or something similar
3pm, snack, maybe fruit, crackers or rice cakes
5.30pm he'll usually have tea with us quite a large bowl of what ever we are having, spag bol or fish fingers are his favorate.
A yoghurt after his tea.
7pm 9oz of milk plus 1 round of toast.

He will have the odd snack through the day too, a biscuit or fruit bar maybe.

Hey rachel!

My DD is 9 1/2 months but on quite a similar diet. She is only small though, not 18lbs yet. Here is an example of a typical day:-

Milk feed 7am
Breakfast 7.30am Plum porridge with fruit puree, one slice of toast with un/s butter. Water
Lunch 12.30am Ham salad sandwich, piece of cheese, homemade fruit puree, satsuma (i.e. whatever I am having - usually a sandwich, beans on toast etc)
Milk feed 3pm
Snack 4pm (occasional) dried fruit, ricecake, banana etc
Tea 5-5.30pm Roast chicken dinner/chilli/macaroni/salmon and veg (again what we've had one night and frozen an extra portion - we are going to try and eat our tea with her soon but its so hard for us to be hungry for our main meal at 5pm - and to have it ready for then!)
Milk feed 6.45pm

If I was you, I would introduce a second course at each mealtime - this worked wonders for us and DD now sleeps through again. So add a piece of toast at breakfast time, a yoghurt or fruit puree at lunch and you already do this at teatime.

It does sound like habit though now, I take it you've tried just offering water?

This is what Isaac had today;

7:40am - Weetabix with puree'd fruit.

Then he snacked on a rusk, tangerine, kiwi and some blueberries.

9:15am - 5oz full fat cows milk (we just started him on cows milk so he's drinking less, most mornings he will knock back 8oz of formula at this time).

He had a nap then for 1hr.

1:00pm - A cumberland sausage, with carrots broccoli and cauliflower.

Then he snacked on some sliced ham, a biscuit, red grapes and blueberries.

5:00pm - Cheese ravaoli with minced beef, carrots and a stick of cheddar cheese.

Then some snacking on Kiwi and blueberries (he's had a blueberry day lol) and OH was supposed to offer him a yoghurt after lunch but forgot

6:30pm - 8oz HiPP formula

He weighed 24lb+ on April 28th. I don't worry about him eating too much/little but would love to find some visual advice as to portion sizes for him, because he does leave lots so I know I'm offering too much food.

I hope you get rid of that 1am feed soon Rachel, though she's so clever and feeds it herself, that's one good thing  I don't think she eats too much/little at all, she is obviously happy and that 1am feed is just her routine, I don't know how you'd go about stopping it though

Like you V we don't eat with Isaac as we can't face tea that early but we try and eat something to join in with him.

Oran is about 21lb and this is an example of what he will eat

7.20 am - bowls of cereal (cherios, crispies etc) or 1 and 1/2 weetabix
10.30am - Full banana
12.30 - sandwhich (2 slice of wholemeale including crusts) with tuna, egg, cheese spread etc, apple slices or similar, half bag of organix crisp things, 1 adult yoghurt
3.30 - cheese sticks or similar
5.30 - various teas whatever where having or say 3 fish fingers, 4 boiled tatties and about 3 table spoons of veg and biscuit for afters
7.30 - adult sized yoghurt
8pm - 7oz milk

throughout the day he will also eat various other bits and bats namley bits of what mummy and daddy are eating  if you have food in your hand, hes there! He drinks baout 2 beakers of juice as well

Hannahs 26lbs right now and she eats more then i do in a day! lol.

Thanks everyone, Im gonna really try this week to get rid of the milk feeds, think im gonna try the water it down method. Ill let you know how i get on girls :)

luke is about 21lbs and he has:

8am 5oz milk
9.30 bowl of ready brek
10.30 snack i.e crisps or fruit
12.30 main meal (one bowl of mums own 12month + food and a yoghurt or equivalent of my food)
3.30 bananna/ 2 clemintines
5.30 same as dinner
7.00 5oz milk

and about 5oz water throughout the day also.

sounds like she's eating about the same or maybe slightly more than milliepops and i think my girl has a hearty appetite on her! millie has:

6.30/7am - 8-scoop formula milk bottle

8/9am - 1 oatibix with 4-scoop formula milk

11/11.30am - little biscotti biscuit or mini ricecake

12/1pm - 3-cecube-fulls of veggie-mash with 2 mini slices of wafer thin cooked chicken chopped into it, followed by stage 1 jar of fruit or 2 petit filous fromage frais

4/5pm - same as above, maybe half a piece of toast as well, before or after

7pm - 8-scoop formula milk bottle but only drinks a quarter of it or sometimes almost half!

millie is over 21lbs now and very tall/long however u say!

Maia is 98%ile so probably closest in weight to Hannah, here's what she has...

8am 5oz formula, petit filous, half slice of toast with something on (usually avocado or houmous)

10am Biscuit, munch bunch drinky

1pm Large Jar of food or equivalent size mashed up grown-up food
,yoghurt sometimes a bit of fruit

3.30pm 5oz formula (going to drop that next week and change for a fruit snack or similar)

5pm Large jar of food, yoghurt, fruit or ice cream

7.30pm 7oz Hipp goodnight formula

Thats it until morning, haven't had to give her milk at night for a month now and that was because we were staying with friends so she was in unfamiliar territory and didn't sleep so well.

I think its sounds like Hannah is getting a great variety of food, especially sandwiches, I've been thinking about giving Maia sandwiches for a while but the mess puts me off!
