Hi there girls,

Well its been 4 weeks now since I gave birth to Toby. Ive been so impatient to heal and get back to normal. I had a little check down there when I was in the bath yesterday morning, to see if it was as tight as before..

It was a big shock!

I hope this isnt TMI, but I could waggle my finger a little bit without even touching the sides of the vaginal walls. I was so upset I cried my eyes out. I was hoping to have sex again sometime soon. No chance of that though. Would be like flinging a sausage down an alleyway?!

Has anyone had this experience and gone back to normal?

I had a forceps delivery and he weighed 9lb 14.5oz. Ive been doing my kegel exercises! Ive been really worried I might just be stuck like this forever.

Honestly, it takes longer then 4 weeks to tighten up downstairs, it takes excercise and time. In 6 months yo may be fine. Don.t panic too much

I was fretting about the same thing recently too. I can deffo say it does go back, maybe not 100% but keep doing the kegels. 4months on it feels much toghter and more like the old pussy I used to know. Its the outside of mine thats wrecked - cosmetically it could do with a makeover

I spoke to a doctor who specialised in pelvic floor and related problems. She said that it would take at least 6 months to get back to normal even if you didn;t have any problems during birth. Don;t rush things sweetie- let things heal in their own time xxx

believe me, by the time you get round to it, your OH will be so glad to be getting some that he won't notice any difference.

My son was 10lb12oz with a head circumference of 37cm and i thought DH might get lost up there, but thankfully so far he hasn't
DH says he can't tell the difference, he may well be lying but he still comes just as quickly so it can't be that bad!!

You will be fine, if you think about it it is probably better if it is a little looser than before the first time you have sex again as it can be a little scarey and as said OH isnt gonna give 2 hoots what he is shagging by the time it happens

I agree with MM by the time my oh got some he was gagging for it so i dont think he gave a toss what if it had been bad or not!
