would you chance your arm and have a 40/50 minute walk (alone) at 41 weeks preggers?

Basically, I have been invited to a cafe to meet up with some overdue mummies from my ante-natal class tomorrow. BUT...hubby has car and there are no buses, so only way I can get there is on foot! Just scared my waters will go whoosh! :rotfl:

I'm not allowed very far from home on my own anymore, lol! If you've got OH's number, and maybe a couple of taxi's on you, then why not! I probably would if hubby hadn't got me wrapped in cotton wool :)

i wouldnt only because walking when im at the end send me into labour albiet false like but im going to sit and veg at the end on this 1 lol

Good on you if you can physically walk 40/50mins at 41 weeks! I would have such a sore pelvis and heavy thighs after 10.

But no I don't think I would chance it.

I guess I could walk 15 mins then jump a bus?!

I'm glad you all say no lol - the thought alone was crippling me! It'd just be good to get out of the house, I do want to go just to see others who are in the same boat as me. It's weird when you're at home - i feel quite alone, where as if I see more overdue Mummies, I may feel better that i'm not the only overdue woman :rotfl:

i defo would, but then i do this every morning walking the dog, i just make sure i have my phone on me just incase!! hope you have nice time xxx

I would, I walked on my own every day up til the day I went into labour, I wasn't quite a week overdue. Take your notes and like you say a bus or something, and if you get any niggles go home. Xx

Maybe one of the mums could pick you up?

I would if you feel up to it and as long as you have mobile, contact numbers and cash in case you need to get a taxi xxx

i was going to suggest one of the other mums pick you up to, i would gladly pick someone else up and especially s they will understand more than anyone else, offer them petrol money they probbaly wont accept anyway i wouldn't but will be grateful that you offered and weren't taking it for granted tht omone would pick you up.

If it were a friend i'd known a while I wouldn't hesitate to ask for a lift - im a cheeky minx! I just don't know them all that well to feel comfortable asking. I've got cash for taxi just incase and will bus it there. Also charging my phone tonight to make sure I can make a call if I need to!

I'm looking forward to getting out of the house

We have a group set up on facebook and i've asked if I can catch a lift with someone and pay towards petrol...will see if I get any kind offers, if not i'll bus it! I'm leaving my house today! YAY

Btw Emma, the film was really good. Better than alot of rubbish that's usually on! Didn't realise it had been 2 hours long until we saw the time, it was that good. Was hoping the loud noise and maltesers would help baby come but no lol

Thanks hun- i'm going to ask hubby when he gets home this eve if he fancies going :) Might be our last chance in a while!

Glad you enjoyed it, and your maltesers! I might go for a tub of ice cream - the coldness might wake him up into action!!

Have a nice time, hope all your waters break when you are out!!

we got told by a taxi firm, that if you go in to labour they wouldnt take you in their cars as you could mess them up.....might be an idea to check first?? i walked all the time at the end of mine. I was having a slow labour and walked 3 miles every single day!! just make sure you're prepared either way x
