Would you let them run around naked in the garden?

We live in a building with a shared garden and only 2 other people have access, this isn't the problem so much but you can see the garden from quite a few houses, probably around 8 or so. Kai was taking his swimming nappy off and I said to keep it on, if no one could see I wouldn't have too much off a problem with it, am I being overly paranoid in thinking you just don't your neighbours at all?

Our garden isn't shared but anyone looking out of their upstairs window would be able to see into our garden. Personally I've never thought about it before, but I don't think I'd have a problem if Lucy was naked.... if you can't do it in your own garden where can you!

its a toucgh one. I remember my mum letting my little sister run around naked in our back garden as a toddler (guess she done the same to me too) on hot days.
we lived on a council essate but out garden had lots of bushes a trees around the fences.

Theres no more 'weirdos' out there then there was 50 years ago, its just we now get media coverege to make us think EVERYONE is a threat.

Id just go with what YOU are comfortable with.
I dont have a garden and really, REALLY dont know how i would feel letting my girls run around naked... tbh i probably feel the same as you.

Yes I wouldnt have a problem with it. Its just my personal opinion but I think you can't go around thining ''but what if'' because if you did in this day an age you would never leave the house. Obviously if I saw anyone taking photos from the bedroom window I would ring the police and then go round and hurt them severly with a blender and a cigar chopper!

Theres these twins that live on my street and they must be about 3 or 4 and they are constantly escaping from there home and there always naked!!

My back garden is pretty private but I dont think I would let chester run around naked, maybe if he was splashing in a pool and not actually runnin around then it wouldnt be so bad but I wouldnt want anyone seeing him naked

No i wouldnt, but i make sure if there playing in the pool etdc they have swim pants on.
I do worry alot but in this day and age I cant help it.

Yeah I wouldn't mind at all. I wouldn't let them run round the beach naked though You see that quite a lot.

i would...and have.. i wouldnt do it anywhere other than the garden though. god years ago babies used to go ont he beach naked all the time..

ive fround on parents lettign their babies do it now tho.. u never know whos looking in a public place, but kids shouldnt be made to feel private about their bodies.. can cause insecuritys later in life..

Me too! I cannot believe that it's come to this, that we even have to discuss letting our LO's out in their own garden naked.

Thank goodness I live in Switzerlnad, where this topic isn't even an issue.....

nope i wouldn't, but not for the reason of paedos being round every corner, but with me, when my boys have no pants on they spend the whole time playing with themselves!

They are naked in the house before and after bath time, and tbh i dont want to encourage it anymore!!!

My mum always let us when we were kids. We didn't give her much of a choice. Lol But i won't with my daughter while living in this house. As i still live in the family home but i own it now. And on our Estate we have 2 sex offenders. (We're looking into moving but with the house prices at the mo it aint possible!)

i absolutely hate to see babies and young children running around naked ANYWHERE. Seeingthem in cute swimsuits or even a pair of pants is much nicer.
You just don't know who is watching them either. Filthy minded people are everywhere.
i watched a programme once about a paedophile who was caught and they found footage of a little girl in her backgarden (his neighbour doing handstands and her dress revealing all when her legs were in the air. He was having a wank whilst filimng that
After i saw that i changed everything i did. I even got a pop up tent for the beach for my girls to get changed in.

look after your kids and maintain their dignity at all times but more importantly don't give sickos easy fixes.

Exactly, last year i took ds to the beach and had to change his nappy and some guy was sitting about 10 meters away from us and i could see him watching us - more so Stephen, so i moved him so the bloke couldnt see but he carried on staring. I know people look but this was intently and gut feeling told me he was getting off on it - i felt sick and do so writing this. I never told Tommo but have never let him outside naked since, and change him in total privacy. I felt violated for stephen with that dirty ******* watching him.
I think you have to protect your children in this day and age, and as budge says maintain their dignity.

Isn't it sad that we have to even question this?

Gabs has run round naked in our garden and I really don't have a problem with it but I do remember feeling slightly uncomortable about it, in case anyone was watching and then had to snap myself out of it.
