sorry about this.... my dad has gone on holiday and i have to look after his cats for him which use the litter tray im not cleaning the litter tray i told my BF he can do it because i dont want to risk it... but im still worried about toxoplasmosis. its really worrying me because in most cases you dont even know if you've contracted it....... :( i keep thinking that my baby will catch it

Wear rubber gloves and wash your hands after- you will be fine

Don't worry about it you will be fine. I have a kitten and I asked my midwife if it was ok to keep her now I am pregnant and she said it is fine as long as you wear gloves when cleaning up after it and wash your hands after handling it. Don't worry yourself. xxxxxxxxx

If the cats are indoor cats you should be Ok too. I think only outdoor cats get it.

thanks ladies... iv done a bit of reading up on it and apparently if you've lived with cats all your life (which i have and they're outdoor ones) chances are you've already had it and are immune to it.... i suppose its just basic hygene anyway.... gosh this website puts my mind at rest ! :rotfl:
