Worried

[Hoping for no2]

I'm 8 + 4 and have been very sick from 7 weeks and unable to get out of bed. I had HG in my 2nd pregnancy. 2 days ago I woke up feeling ok which was lovely but worrying as I was very poorly until around 16 weeks last time. Yest I had a bit of spotting although nothing since. I've been booked for a scan on Tuesday but it seems so long to wait so going to try and get a private scan before - hopefully today. I know symptoms can come and go but it's not really like that with HG and I can't help but think the worst 😔 Has anyone had similar and been ok?

Hi hun,

I can't really help as I've had HG since week 5, I'm only getting a couple of hours here and there where I feel able to do things. I've never had more of a break. It could be it's not going to be as bad for you this time, but I know if it happened to me I would try and get a scan earlier too. Could you try bring the Tuesday scan closer especially as youve had spotting?

I have hg as well and had 2 days around week 7 that i felt better. The fog just lifted and it was amazing. I was still taking the medications... Unfortunately l thought l had recovered and ate some sausages and baked beans, and it just set me off again, i vomited every few minutes for 4 hours and ended up in hospital getting an injection in my bum to make it stop. The nurse at hospital told me and my partner off for coming in as lnhad no ketones in my urine... i felt so angry because i had told her i had felt better for 2 days, so of course i didn't, but if i was just left at home to keep being sick i would have been in a much worse state. Good luck with it. I hope you have dodged the hg this time xo

Thanks for your replies, I've got a private scan at lunchtime today. Typically, I'm not feeling very good since booking but with the bleeding I am still concerned. Will find out with way later... Xx

All was good - baby measuring at 8 + 6 which is 2 days ahead of what i expected. She said bleeding was from the bruising from implantation which is the most common reason for bleeding in the first trimester. I've been feeling sick all aft although have managed to eat and be on my feet at times, so all in all doing much better. Hoping its permanent, but not getting my hopes up xx
