On Friday I got my BFP and I think I'm 5 week 3 days but my cycles are a bit irregular so I'm not 100% sure. I have no symptoms really except that I've never felt so tired in my life, I slept for 12 hours last night and I've napped already and I still feel like I could drop off!

We've been trying for years and I've got a few very faint bfps in the past but then my period has arrived a few days later (I guess if I hadn't been trying and waiting I'd have never known) but I'm worrying. I was thinking about booking a private early scan but my husband thinks it's a bad idea as I'd be more worried if they found nothing! I know worrying isn't going to help the baby but I can't help it

I was really similar to you, slept for 12 hours and still managed to nap! It's just your body getting used to all the changes.
It's easier said than done but try not to worry, you won't do yourself or baby any good. If you want a scan then book one but if your not as far as you think you are then they might not be able to pick anything up which will upset you even more. If try and wait a few more weeks.xx

Hey Nicki, congratulations on your BFP.

I'm sure i'm not alone in saying we all worry for one reason or another during pregnancy. I'm almost 8 weeks and I myself haven't really had any symptoms bar being extremely tired , cramps & having sore boobs. But i've had to learn that we are all different and our bodies react different even if you've had one or more already. No pregnancy is the same. You might find over the coming weeks things change.
But right now try and relax, I know that's easier said than done.

xx

Thanks for the replies, I'm trying not to worry but I'm hugely emotional today and hubby is annoying me by saying that it's too early for me to be feeling this tired, emotional, headachey. I've had a headache for a few days is that baby related or caffeine withdrawal? to be fair I only drink tea so I don't have a huge amount of caffine!

Headaches are really common due to the hormones. Make sure you rest when you can and drink plenty of water.
Sounds like you have the common early symptoms, tell hubby to shush and do some cleaning for you :)
Congratulations by the way! Xx

I had had constant headaches and migraines a week or so before my BFP. What your feeling is perfectly normal. Pregnancy is a constant worry which doesn't stop even after birth. My oldest is 10 and I worry about her constantly. Joys of motherhood
