Hi ladies

I had my 20 week scan .. and Thank God all went well..

The only thing she said was high was

“screen positive for PET/IUGR“

Below was written PI mean was high..

I’m so worried as she told me to double aspirin, but did not write it in my notes.. and no mention of if it was serious.. I do not have a midwife ..

I tried to call our maternity unit and was told to call back Monday..

from a quick google these are the possibibilities: your blood might be slightly thick and that can restrict the flow into placenta so needs blood thinner like aspirin but is not serious
or possible higher risk of pre eclampsia but again borderline enough for aspirin to resolve

it would have been nice if she had explained rather than leaving you worried!

Thank you for replying xx

I went in and told me exactly what you said lol

They said to double dose, and that it should have been put down in my records

I’m taking one day at a time 🙈😔

If they’re worried about the consistency of your blood then it’s a possible risk factor for developing pre-eclampsia and intra uterine growth restriction. Doubling aspirin is a preventative measure. X
