Over the past 3-4 days Harrison is only drinking between 3-4oz of his 7oz feeds, he keeps fussing with the bottle, pushing it out with his hands, shaking his head from side to side as if to say I dont want it. I'm worried cause if he carrys on like this he's going to start losing weight :( i've been giving him baby rice before bed for a while now & he cries when he has it now and pulls that Yuck! face. I just don't know what to do, he's been ill over the past week but seems to have been alot better other the last 2 days.

I'm so worried about him

was just about to post the same sort of thing! sorry i cant really give much advice but at least harrison isnt the only baby doing it! i think jacks just had a growth spurt so dont no if hes just having a few days rest after drinking so much last week? jacks having 6 bottles a day and has between 3 - 4oz. then if i try and lie him down to give him more he screams at me til i sit him up again!! he weighs 13lb5oz now so not to worried about him losing weight but just not sure if hes getting enough?

i find jack fusses with the bottle when he has wind so could it be that with harrison, or maybe he needs faster teats? could be getting frustrated if the milk isnt coming out fast enough for him.. hope this helps!

You've asked basically the same as I was going to. Rhys is only taking 4-5oz at a push on some of his bottles when usualy 7oz doesnt seem to go down quick enough!! Ive been reading a couple of old posts and Rhys is starting to teeth so I'm sure this could be why. Do you think Harrison could be teething?

Thankyou ladies atleast i'm not on my own with this. Harrison is teething, has been for a while now but he seems to be fine during the day its just at night he's bad with his teeth

Also i wind him after every 2oz and if i find hes fussing i wind him then as well but doesnt make a difference :( he's on level 2 teats

Its hard to know what to do in a situation like this isnt it?

Think its just a matter of process of elimination to try and see what the problem is, but he could just be having a couple of 'off' days. What was the matter with him when he was ill the past week?

I am going to pop to the clinic tomorrow and see what they say, I do hope its just a couple of off days!

He's had a bad cold & chesty cough but seems to be getting better now, he was at his wost over the weekend but he still guzzled down his bottle like no tomorrow

Let us know how you get on at the clinic hun!
