i am wondering if there is a certain 'magical' number of hours it is worth working before ur earnings are going straight into childcare (making it pointless doing any more hours!) do u kno what i mean? does anyone kno this?

Hiya

I think your just going to have to sit down work out what you earn and what the chidminders fees are

When Willow was a baby i worked 1-7 monday to thursday and on a wednesday my sister-in-law had her and i paid £35 a week but when i got pregnant again i changed my hours to 5-10 mon-thurs and saturday morning so now i pay nothing.

I think as long as it's full time your pretty much working to pay the childminder which somedays i would happily do

i work 16 hours and get the top wack of working tax credits
i also get 70% of childcare paid for me,
for me it is deffo worth working
