Since having cabhan I hadn't stop bleeding up until 4 days ago, I had the mirena fitted on 19th November due to heavy MONTHLY periods, but once the mirena was in it made things a hell of a lot worse.

I kept going to the doctors and they were saying everything was fine, hospital twice first time they sent me home with a kidney infection bloods were fine, second time I had a positive pregnancy test but then negative at the hospital and bloods fine again.

So on 31st Jan I was booked in for a coil check and swabs, lucky I went when the doctor checked my coil it was just sitting in my cervix wings unfolded not doing its job! I don't know how long it had been like that for but good job I got it checked, I was given map and another set of bloods done to check hormone levels and been told to test on 14th Jan, I will be so annoyed if pregnant as that's why I had the mirena fitted I thought I could trust it but seems not.

So here I am in TWW with a million and one pregnancy symptoms

I had something like this too with mirena. My bleeding was like a tap. My moon cup would fill in 20 mins and mine kept dropping to the os of my cervix. I got mine taken out after the 2nd time I went, as I just felt ill all the time. Think my body was rejecting it.

The mirena can make bleeding very heavy for a few months but it is supposed to settle down, but I couldn't cope with mine any longer.
I was disappointed, as I really wanted it to work.

I really wanted mine to work too, I loved the coil planned to keep it in for the full 5 years as well but suppose my body had other plans as usual.

Unbelievably scared about testing though, as I really hope I'm not but with my luck I'll get the result I don't want xx
