anyone else wondering this?

The only thing niggling at me, is that me and my OH sleep really cuddled up all night face to face  (well we are newlyweds!!)

when the baby comes we're planning to have her in bed with us (on my side). Im feeling a bit torn because i'll be facing and protecting my baby then, but i'll miss waking up in the arms of my man  i dont want to turn my back on him!! i guess you could say put the baby in a cot but we both do want her in with us to start with....i know this is a really trivial and temporary thing but i cant help thinking about it!!

I am wondering how it will affect me and my OH as I still don't feel like we've done a lot of our growing up as we're living with my mum!
Me and my OH sleep apart - as in facing away from one another, baby will be in the crib.

I think you'll know what's right/ feel ok once baby is born - after all you'll be so close to someone else you love so much!

xx

he can snuggle up behind u in spoons position and watch baby sleeping too. its actually very comfy. and kiss your neck :D

Thats what we did, and he will feel liek he is protecting all of you

the sleeping position is the least of your worries :D be prepared for neither of you to get any sleep, and be grumpy with each other because of it :D

but it's all worth it x

lol :D i know its the least of it, silly really!

I am really worried too. We have been together for 10 years and we are very settled in our relationship. We are used to being footloose and fancy free. It has been great just thinking, lets go out for dinner or to the cinema or lets just go away this weekend. I wonder what it will be like when we don't have that freedom and have all the pressures of parenthood. We have always had a wonderful marriage, but will it take the strain of such a dramatic change?

I am hoping that having such a strong bond will make things easier....I suppose you just have to keep communicating with each other and take time for each other when you can.

I agree, this is such a snuggly position to sleep in - no love will be lost there! :D

However dosnt always work when you gotta keep swapping boobies at night ...a baby really puts any relationship to the ultimate test :D
I havnt slept in the same bed as my OH for near 4 months now not because we havnt wanted to we really have but she comes first ...and tbh its only for a short space of time...I got the rest of my life to cuddle up to him.

I know what you mean about not sleeping in same bed - me and OH havent for ages either - I wish we could sleep spooned and snuggled but Im too fat and have a thousand pillows in the bed and he chats rubbish in his sleep all night :rotfl: Cant wait until Im half the size again :cheer: :cheer:

I think your first objective should be to actually get some sleep. It's really hard in the first few weeks
Relationships do change when you've got kids, the focus changes from each other to the kid. It's not neccessarily a bad thing though. I feel closer to OH since we've had James.

well i can say it has made us love each other so much more, i fancy him like mad at the moment, baby is only 4 days old and i cant wait to get back into action with him. i look at him with our baby and it makes me fancy him so bad!
