I went to a baby show on the weekend and I saw this exhibition - I completely love it, the idea and how it functions.So, naturally I thought of all you lovely ladies!

I havent seen anything like it and Im really tempted to buy one, I have been pondering over what to wear for the birth and I really dont want to wear a nightie! This just seems to be perfect for such an amazing occasion. The poem on the inside of the neckline is printed in silver:

'When I finally see your face, All this waiting will be, A dream we once dreamed, You, a warm weight in my arms, A near and present love' - made me well up!

Yes and because its specifically designed for birthing etc its so perfect, I really dont want to be wearing pyjamas or a nightie because they are for sleeping in.I want to associate whatever Im wearing with a relzed and comfortable birth I think Im going to get one I know I will use it afterwards for feeding and lounging after I get home too

RM I never understood people who wanted to be in jammies etc when in hospital if they are able to get dressed. I have 'comfy clothes' for lounging about but I just don't feel right wearing jammies all day. I suppose getting dressed is maybe the last thing on your mind after the birth but I'll be in my comfy clothes!!

I know it is a bit pricey but Im figuring that Im not spending heaps on maternity clothes and I have saved loads by using Ebay etc

personally i wouldnt wear it, i will have an old shirt on to give birth in and that will be fine for me
different people have different priorities though and if you think it will make you more comfy then go for it!

well i would deffo go for it then RM, it sounds like it would be so special. and you could put it somewhere nice afterwards as kinda like a memento from your labour xx

I'm very tempted, the only thing is i feel theres not that long to go for me now, and i'm probably not going to be out and about much because of this stupid SPD so would i get the wear out of it for the money. Its beautiful though and a lovely idea, you should go for it xx

Its a lovely idea. I have a black wrap around maternity dress from mamas and papas thats almost identical! I worn a nighty thats like a big shirt for button access. When I knew she was just about to be born I insinctivey started stripping off!

Yes I think I prob would MM! I think I would wait until I got to the hospital to change into it - I just love the whole idea of it being so practical, I want to try to make this time so special and comforting to me as it will be my last birthing experience
