Hi everyone...

I have a job interview this afternoon!!!!! EEEEeeekkkk!

It is in the same company but in a different department and they know I am pregnant so I probably have not got a hope in hell. BUT am bricking myself anyway! Spent ages last night updating my portfolio and did not sleep very well. Is not till 2.30pm, so trying to keep busy!

I hate my current job and the thought of having to come back after maternity leave to is fills me with dread, so thought I better try and do something about it!

Thanks for your support!

It went surprisingly well actually. They did not even ask about the pregnancy etc... and I got on very well with the guy I would be working for. They have a few external candidates too, but I was second to last so I should find out tomorrow if I get a second interview.

Feeling quite encouraged that it went well... bit scared of taking on a new job whilst pregnant though, if I get it!!!

not heard!!! every time my phone rang today I have been on edge, unless he rings in the next 2 mins I won't know until Monday

oh well - least it can't ruin my weekend if it is bad news (ever the optimist )....

Yeh! got a second interview. Will be next week some time

HR actually decided NOT to tell the division the job is with that I am pregnant!

Which is cool as it means that I am definitely getting a fair deal in the interview process!

BUT - IF I get the job and then say oh by the way I am pregnant and sodding off in 5 months time..... my new boss is going to be pretty miffed, as will all my new colleauges who have been covering the position since last August when the predecessor left.

Is up to HR how to handle it and at least I know they are on my side!

Congratulations on the second interview TopBird. That definitely sounds encouraging.

Strange that HR didn't tell the new department about your pregnancy. But I suppose it's true like you say at least they are going to be truly neutral in the decision making that way.
