hi all i no this question may sound bloody daft but i got to ask it as i saw another post relating to it

can you still have a period if your not ovulating ?
or DO you have to of ovulated to have a period ?

i dont no weather i have explained that properly

you would think by the age of 22 i would no something like that


if i sound stuiped just ignore this post i do have my moments sometimes lol
 
Yes you can still have periods and not ovulate. And no you are not stupid. :hug:

Hi, you will still have a period whether you have or whether you havent ovulated. You do not have had to ovulate to have a period. Hope this helps :hug:
 
if we didnt OV then why would we have a period. i always thought a period was taking away an unfertilized egg?? :think:

That's what I used to think. I even said to my mum "You must have been ovulating all those years if you were having periods." But she wasn't.
 
I'm not sure but I think your period is just the uterus wall shedding and it will happen regardless of whether or not an egg was released.

It is known as an anovulatory cycle and is not a true period, although it does feel like it.
 
it is confusiing!!

ive learnt so much over the 3 months!!!
