Will going to college affect my benefits?

At the minute im only claiming jobseekers allowance but we are looking for a house and if we get one we will have to claim more benefits - the thing is i want to work once ive had my baby but i want a career, so far i only have retail experience so i'm considering going back to college after baby is born - problem is i already have a level 3 in art and design so I think id have to pay for any other course but im not sure but i know i dont have the money too but if i didnt have to pay and could go back to college would i still be entitled to benefits? as it would be impossible to go back to college if not
