Why do we waste our money?

Hi Ladies.
I've had 4 readings now from these so called baby psychics.
Brooke, cheri22, Ruby Trinity and Jenny. All 4 of them have given me different times to conceive, find out or give birth and 2 said boy and 2 said girls.
I know a few of you have had the same type of reading from a couple of them, but WTF is going on. Between the 4 of them its cost me £25 and I feel rather silly for paying it. My hubby is cursing me, my bank balance is £25 minus and my head is full or crap.
My heart is set on what Brooke told me coz she said Dec find out and a girl, am I mad??? I have 4 sons and want a girl desperately, so of course I want her to be right, but at the same time she asked me what children I already have, so she knows that already!
I really feel that they are playing with our minds, we all want to conceive as soon as possible and a lot of us have in our hearts set on what sex we want the baby to be if it's not your 1st, but I wanted to post this before our newer members run off on the hope they would get answers to their dearest questions, when infact they are more likely to receive a load of rubbish. So if you want a baby reading please let me know, my hubby will only charge a fee of £2 lol
No seriously, save your money for your pg tests and maybe invest in some ovulation kits instead.

I also need to say, that I DO know a couple of ladies on here that got the BFP when the phychics said they would, now I'm thinking, did you bd more that month coz they SAID you'd get your BFP. I know my DH is going to really cop it in Dec if I get a BFN this month, coz Brooke said I'd get a girl!!! Do you see what I mean?

I havent got any of these readings for that reason... I wont even buy tests until I am late (well thats what I say now, but this is only 1st month of TTCing!)

yeh save your money. i did Zoltar readings on here for free and he has a good track record of being right.

Cherri did them for free on a forum till she found out she could make money then she did them at work, so you were paying her and so was her work - i think they just play on the vulnerable.

Don't get me wrong, I do believe that there are people out there with genuine abilities and do not mean to offend anybody.

BUT I also believe a certain amount is what they call 'self fulfilled prophecy'.

For example, you are told you will get a new job where you will have the chance to work abroad. You believe this to be true. You then apply for new jobs where these opportunities are available. SO if you get the job with the chance to work abroad, is it because the psychic told you you would, or did you yourself make it happen?

Same with the babies - if you believe you will get pregnant on a certain month, you probably make more of an effort to chart, BD on the right days etc etc.
The psychic I saw some months back said that we would have a child not long after being married - we are just coming up to our first wedding anniversary. We were planning to wait a couple of years before ttc - but have decided to try earlier. Again, was the psychic right, or has something about what she said in the back of our minds influenced us trying?

Exactly Bex. I know I'm gonna make more of an effort in Dec because one of the said I'd find out in December and it will be a girl. I think you make more of a conscious decision based on what these psychics have said.

I only had a reading by Cheri........and at £4 thought it was worth it for a bit of fun, and swore to take it with a pinch of salt.

I had ovulated a week earlier than expected, so very early in my cycle as had only come of the pill 6 weeks previously, and because of this we only BD'ed once.

I was so chilled out as didnt think there was anyway I could possibly be pregnant........then I got my reading from Cheri which shocked me. She had predicted my due date, and based on this asked me if I was already pregnant (I had never seen her ask this on other peoples readings). I was only about 3/4 dpo when I got the reading, so tested early at 8dpo and got my BFP! She also predicted I would have a boy - and she was also right!

I know its all a bit of fun, but she was so spot on for me, even though I didnt think I could possibly be pregnant, so we definitely didnt BD more based on her prediction!

I think as long as you dont read too much into the readings then why not!!!

Oh absolutely - at the end of the day it's your money, you can do what you like with it!!! I just am one of the ones who doesn't have any to spare!

EllieBelle, I'm really pleased she was right with you. Like I said, I do know a few that one of them has been right for and in the beginning I also saw it as a bit of light hearted fun, but then it become obsessive and I found myself wanting to prove the next one wrong with yet another reading. Cheri said I'd fall this month, were see!
But then out of the 4 of them, I could conceive or find out in Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, March, April, then deliver in aug, sept, oct, nov and dec. Doesn't leave much does it! So theres a good chance one could be right!

He was absolutely right with us selling our house. We move to our new house a week on Friday.

When I read the title of the thread I thought it was going to be about testing early. As that is what is on my mind at the moment.
