Sorry - a bit of a pointless thread, but today I heard bub's heartbeat for the first time at my 16 week appointment!! It is the best sound EVER!

Look round at OH and he was grinning from ear to ear too - nearly made me blub.

It is a tremendous sound hey?

We've been lucky as we heard it at 10w scan (private) and 12w scan (NHS)

I also heard it last week at my 16w appointment!!

We've decided against a doppler so hearing the HB is extra special

Carnat - we've made the same decision, so I'm really going to look forward to these appointments. You did well to hear it at 10 and 12 too - it seems so strange that some NHS areas will try at 12 (ours don't) and some not until 24 or 28.

Anyway, thanks girls - I knew you'd understand the buzz!
