whooping cough

hi all my patner has been to docs today he has whooping cough,,i also have a 3yr old daughter she has a mild cough but nothing serious im worried if i catch it so will my baby.. and i know it can be serious..i dot know what i should do..as im 40 week and 4 days and if i go into labour my patner might not be able to be with me incase of passing it on is this true?
