Loads of these were when I was a teenager (felt explanation needed for some of them!!!)

Also going to v festival in stafford for whole weekend - good way to see lots of my favourite bands in 1 go

So many I can't list them- me and my OH were Indie kids in the 90s, he was in a band and we've been to Glasto 9 times!

Since having Elliott we have slowed down a lot but in the past 6 months we have seen:-

Dirty Pretty Things
The Cooper Temple Clause
The Guillemots
Klaxons

and we have tickets for the Coopers again in a few weeks time and Klaxons in May. My taste in music has got harder and noisier as I've got older- I was very into the Pulp and Blur end of the Brit Pop lot but I was a hardcore Libertines fan when they first started out and that and Primal Scream's last few albums (not the most recent though) led me further into liking the music of rock and roll excess! Going to gigs and not drinking much or at all is odd though!

I also remember seeing The Super Furry Animals playing The Man Don't Give a F*** at the Ashton Court (Bristol Community) festival when I was about 6 months pregnant and Elliott kicking like crazy! Poor child- my OH reckons that he will rebel as a teenager and like heavy metal!

+++
p.s. we will be such embarrasing parents when he's older won't we? We keep fogetting that we're not 18 any more we're actually over 30. I was in a local shop carrying Elliott the other day when the Klaxons were playing that night in town. Two teenagers dressed in day-glo clothes were asking the assistant about glo sticks and because I'd seen the Klaxons before and knew that the kids who go to see them dress up in day-glo DIY clothes and wave glo sticks I started chatting to them about the new album and it was hilarious because they started chatting then suddenly really looked at me- saw Mel- saw how old I was and did a huge double take and looked kind of horrified! Ha ha!
