Anyone knows what this is? He has 2 raised spots with white heads on his top gum and they are quite hard is this normal?

Sounds like it might be teethy pegs to me

Maybe show your HV if you are worried?

its deffo not teeth it on the front of his gum and they look like spots but with white heads

Hmm, in which case my next guess would be thrush?

Oral thrush usually causes white, creamy or yellow raised spots on the surface of the pink membranes in the mouth. These are sometimes described as having a 'cottage-cheese' or 'curd-like' appearance, and can be confused with milk residues on a baby's tongue after a feed.

The spots can be scraped off, leaving a tender, red area beneath, which may bleed. The spots are usually limited to the mouth but may spread down the throat. They're not usually very painful but may interfere with feeding.

I'd get it checked in case it is thrush and gets any worse

Maia had this when she was about 1 month old. I thought it was teeth at first but they went after about 5 weeks and she still has not teeth. Not sure what they are, sorry.

Could just be milk spots which is very common :) This is most likely unless it is on the tongue and other places in the mouth also in which it could be thrush. In case of the latter have it checked out, if you are breastfeeding this can be passed to and forth so you will both need to be treated :)
