white cell count and anti-d injection at 28 weeks

hey all

i know i'm not in my third tri just yet but i thought i would make this post here as i know the first injection of anti-d comes at 28 weeks and so i thought i'd get a better response here

i got my blood test results today which they said were ok but i noticed where it says white cell count it says + 13.8 and looks like the highest it should be is 11.0
i didn't notice this at the time so didn't ask about it. does anyone know if this is anything to worry about? i guess it isn't as they didn't say anything but can't help but wonder so if anyone knows anything about it and what it means i'd be really grateful.

the blood tests also confirmed that i am O Rhesus Negative so it would be really nice to hear from all the ladies that have had it and to tell me the truth on what it is like as i am so scared at the thought of having it. i tried to ask how big the needle is etc but they wouldn't tell me so please ladies can i have the truth about the anti-d does it hurt like hell and how far does the actual needle go in just so i can prepare myself for it all.

Not sure about the white blood cell thing but i am O- and i have my first injection on thursday im quite scared too lol but most people on here have said its no big deal and that it just stings a little but thats it.
My midwife told me it was quite a big injection which scared me, not sure why she said that as she didnt really explain
I think, from what ive read that its just like any other injection, a bit of a sting but nothing major

See other post hun...no big deal honest..stings a bit then its gone! Far worse to come with labour!!!

I've had the Anti-D jab twice stings a bit (I hasd it in my thigh; at the top by my bum) but is ok.
