Which thermometer for temping?

Decided that I will try temping from this cycle onwards as I think doing opks is going to be a bit tricky later in the month when I'm back on shift.

Question - which thermometer would you recommend? Considering the femometer but it looks just like a bluetooth one so for less money I could add the temps to the app anyway?

Does anyone have a recommendation, if you have the femomter is it worth the cash in your opinion?

:thanks:

Hey I started using femometer this month with the app and I think it’s great. It syncs with the app straight away and creates the graph. For usage wise I think it’s great but as it’s only my first month I don’t know if bbt will help me conceive. But it’s interesting to see when I ovulate after my positive opk.

I think I'll give it a try! I know I'll only end up spending on other thermometers and not being sure, lol. I guess it takes a bit of time to build up temping data. Did you find scanning the opks useful?

No it wasn’t scanning accurately for example my monitor gave me a high than a peak but femometer didn’t pick it up so I entered it manually

I just got a basic BBT one that reads to 2 decimal places. It didn't cost much and I was glad as I really didn't get on with temping at all. I know lots of ladies find it really useful but it might be worth trying with a cheap one first. I'm useless in the morning and half the time I forgot and then I just eventually gave up!! I found OPKs far more useful. I just used the cheap ones.

I use One Step that you can find on Amazon with OPK for 6 pound and it works perfectly fine x

I use a cheapie off of ebay i think it was about £4 and its works well for me.

thank you for your suggestions. I bit the bullet in the end and ordered the femometer. It's probably a bit of a gimmick and 'treating' myself to a thermometer doesn't seem right. I'd rather have a nice bottle of gin! but we will see how it goes.

got a multivitamin on the go too (probably BS as well) and hubby is taking one as well as he is a fruit phobe for sure. Can't hurt. All to catch an egg! He's still all broody from the baby he delivered yesterday, lol. Less so having to mop out the back of the Ambulance afterwards!
