Just wondering which nappies are the best and have been tried by yourselves .

The reason i ask is cause ill be going out tomorrow nappy shopping and i was wondering which nappies would be the best to use as this is my first

i use cloth nappies on Evie but we use disopsables sometimes if we are out and about. We've tried pampers and tescos own and i'd say that tescos own were just as good if not better than the pampers and really good value for money. :D

Stuart came back with tesco ones one day and ive been using them ever since. The wipes are also great from tesco.

I've tried Tesco's own, Morrison's, Huggies and Pampers and I think Tesco's own are just as good as the more expensive ones, Morrisons were good too (a litlte bit dearer than Tesco's I think).

I think that my favourite nappies are Huggies as they don't leak, are a nice fit and have Winnie the Pooh on them. Pampers and Tesco's are also good though. If Huggies and Pampers arn't on offer I always buy Tesco nappies as they are good and cheaper. I thought that Sainsbury's nappies were rubbish as they leak terrible.

i usually use huggies for the girls, pampers didnt seen very good with them :S

We always got on fine with Morrisons when we used them. My mum puts him in Pampers and I find they leak poo sometimes :puke: .

pampers active fit
they are the most expensive but they are GREAT
my 2 drink loads so dill nappies loads but pampers active fit last ages

dont like the pampers baby dry though

i am soooo bad i washed and dressed Harley today at 8am and he still had the same nappy on at 6pm  i had forgot - he hadnt poohed but it was buldging so much when he stood up it touched the floor :rotfl:
how mad am i??? poor thing couldnt move

ps - for a newborn i would get the cheapest kind
its not like that are going to wee through them and they pooh after most feeds when new born
black like tar mac

I tried Morrisons and loved them when Willow was a baby but they closed down over here and we don't have them anymore so i use pampers pull ups for Willow just at night and conal has pampers too but i am waiting till he moves up to num3 to start him on active fit.

Also like huggies though

I agree completely its now the kind of nappy is making a difference

Ive was told Lidl nappies are suppose to be brill but was wondering if anyone else had tried them apparently they have a indicator on the front and back of the nappy and it changes colour when baby has done a wee .

As far as i know they do not do newborn they start from 9LBs up .

I have used a assortment of nappies for stephen throughout the last 3 years and have now gone back to pampers.
When he was born we used pampers newborn as i was told by my mum they were the best to use and they were by my standereds, no leaks and stephen was happy and dry and had no nappy rash.We carried on usuing pampers till we got to size 3 (he grew quick!) then some friends of mine mentioned the tescos ones were good, so we started using them, we had the odd leak etc but persevered with them until this year about 5 monthsa ago where the poor mite was waking up soaked every morning where they were hanging off him or nthe straps had broke. Was bloody fuming and he kept getting nappy rash as well despite me changing him every 2 hours during the day and waking him up at least twice at night to change him and use sudocreme liberally.
I took him to the docs and she suggested a different nappy brand and we have gone back onto pampers and are not changing anymore. And we have had no problems since. We can now put him into bed at 7.30 at night and get him up at the same time in the morning and his nappy is still containing everything no matter how minging!
With using cheap nappies stephen has been left with aslight skin impairment where every now and again it flares up and leaves open sores on his bottom and he can be in agony with it.We have to use steroid cream now on his bum everyday just to keep it away.
I wish i had never used cheap nappies and i will not do so again as i believe the nappiehave contributed towards it.
I will be using cloth this time with my new baby and see if it makes a difference, i wont be taking the chance of useing cheap nappies again.

we've only tried huggies and boots own so far and i prefer boots own because theyre a slightly more snug fit for a baby her size- i had her in huggies once when i was holding her and she poo'd and it leaked out of them as they were a bit baggy around her thighs! all down my clothes lol!
