i have been using farleys since my daughter was born 11 weeks ago, she started on the first stage but i was making up 12-15 bottles a day so put her on the one for hungrier babies and now has only 5-6.
i do find that she brings up milk each time she is winded, especially if the bottle wasnt made up fresh.
considered changing her to cow & gate and bought a ready made carton and she brought the whole lot up.
does anybody else have this problem with farleys or ready made cartons?
she is putting on plenty of weight so im not worried about that, its just the constant clothe and bed changing..........

Hi
Some babies are just bokey hun. Mine is one of them. I started of on SMA Gold and found Lewis was very sick and suffered bad with colic on this. I spoke to HV who suggested trying the Cow & Gate comfort milk as this is easier for babies to digest. Lewis did improve on this but was still quite sick he is now on enfamil anti reflux which is a prescription milk from the doctor.
My advise would be to have a chat with your HV and see what she suggests and buy plenty of muslin squares. They are a godsend!

I used to put the nappy changing mat in front of my first son because he was so sicky at feed times :? He was on SMA Gold at the time.

My 7 week old son is on Cow & Gate Premium stage 1 (green pack). He isn't very sick with that at all. I have noticed the ready made cartons are a lot richer and if he's sick it's usually when he has one of those.

I agree with mum-2-one though, some babies are just sicky, my first turned out to have a problem with any milk which went some way to explaining his sicky early days.

i agree with the changing mat.... that was a great trick for charlie as she was the same. wen she was newborn we had to change her to hungrier baby milk and she brought it up.... it was colic. we bought mam bottles they worked great.... but when she got older she got it again, but it was a reflux. try changing your bottles, but if it carries on id see your doctor just to make sure.

I dnt know if this will help but my Friend had this prob the HV suggested she try SMA staydown formula you can get it at boots & some pharmcies she said it was amazing the change no sick at all :D

My Jude had reflux and I found that Infant Gaviscon and C&G Comfort milk worked well for him. Perhaps have a word with your HV - have heard SMA Staydown can be given on prescription and is really effective. Do understand the worry and frustration of having a sicky baby though...

Suzy wehave used the Farleys ready made cartons ever since Evie was born, and shes been fine on them. She never been a sicky baby, ithinks as some have said, some babies are just naturally more sicky than other unfortunatley, also as other have said try the stay down milks, winding techniques or even the anti-colic bottles to stop air getting into herstomach. we were advised by HV never to use the hungry baby milks as they as so thick and probably upset the babies stomcah more as they tend to stay in the stomach longer.

i hope youmanage to find a solution soon  .
