I've been wondering this myself, was considering getting one, but dont know if it would be helpful or actually make me more anxious!! What do the ladies who use them think of them, and do you find them helpful in alleviating any worries re wellbeing of bubs?? Im worried if I for some reason couldnt find the heart beat that I would freak out!!

xxx

I was really nervous when mine first arrived in case I couldn't find the hb, but I've found it invaluable tbh.
I don't use it so much now I can feel her kicking, but before I could feel her, and even now when she has a quiet day, the doppler provides such sweet relief! X

I am a worrier... Like there was nights iv been in tears thinking something would go wrong, for no reason. My boyfriend was really against me getting a Doppler for that reason, if I couldn't find the heartbeat I'd panic... Iv always found it. One time it was really faint, but guess the baby was a bit further back, other nights it's so loud and clear! It's amazing. I wouldn't say I overly used it, ever 3-4 days and once I heard it for a minute and my boyfriend had a listen I switche it off an put it away. Trust me I'd happily sit there for hours and listen :) but that's not healthy!! I can feel baby move now, but still have a listen. Especially days I don't feel as much movement, it's great :) I'd recommend one... It's been a nice thing only me and my boyfriend have shared... :)

Lolly I am such a worrier too, and esp in the weeks coming up to scans! I have just ordered an angel sounds doppler, and still not 100% about it, but most of you seem to have good reports on it, so I'll give it a go!! They're not as expensive as I thought they would be so I guess I'll try and see how I get on. But if it's making me more anxious, its being put away again! lol

I never got one, makes going to the midwife exciting x

I got mine on the weekend, after listening for 2 days and feeling so relieved I then realised I had been listening to my own heart beat! So 20 anxious minutes later and much lower down that I thought I managed to find bubs heart beat! Now I know where to search I can find it quicker, always after finding my own mind!

I had a miscarriage and only found out at my 12 week scan so I do get anxious at the thought of scans, the Doppler rests my mind every time. I will def continue to use it once bubs moves and has quiet days! As long as you don't get obsessed I think they are worth it! I did read not to use for more than a couple of times a week, not for any reason as such but I think a few times a week is enough! X

I alway find something to worry about!!! Don't get over anxious about it! I got some free gel in mine :) use it, or a wee squirt of baby oil, makes it easier... And my tip... Baby's alot lower than I though, I always check about above my pubic hair line, and up slightly. Quite deceiving how low down mine has always been :) let me know how you get on!!!cx

I got an Angelsounds on ebay today for £4.50!

Well chuffed! Worried I wont be able to find hb though as everyone has said, but I'm such a worrier, I need it!
