Hey ladies..

I was wondering when is the earlyest u can find out the sex of the baby? how many weeks/months?

thanks xx

Usually at your 20wk scan, but some hospitals refuse to tell you know

I think it's around 16 weeks st private scans, they can do it a little earlier but I think they prefer it to be close to 16 weeks so they have a better chance.

Its good because as im under 16 i dont necessary have to go hospital to have a scan i can go private if i really ask to... xx

Anyone can ask to go private?

Wont you be over 16 when you get to 20wks anyways?

Yeah ill be a week past 16 on 20 week scan but before when i had my abortion doc was gonna send me to hospital to have it done i told him that i suffer from panic attacks so he said ok ill send u private.

so when i go there im going to say to him i dont like hospital i wont go in one unless im giving birth so can i have private scans through my pregnancy as im only 15 i get them free which is good...if he says no then ill say ok ill sit at home and wont have any scans :x they will prob will say yes because they didnt hesitate to offer me a private abortion which costs them allot more than i scan...xx

Do you mean you get free private scans if you ask because you are under 16??

If so I am changing my DOB on my forms damnit. What year would I need to be born in to be under 16?!

WOW.

No offence intended PinkLady, but the NHS seems to throw money away at times and yet can't find any money for more midwives, or for drugs that can save lives :?

They will just let you go without scans tbh. Its totally different to having an abortion, so dont get your hopes up.

I know .. its no offence to me its offence to them...but i dont feel that its very fair that the risk for me to have a panic attack and stress out my baby... to be honest they should not have changed it in the first place before u used to go to local clinic for scans but now been put onto hospitals which is very annoying for many people..xx

I honestly can't imagine you would get the nhs to pay for you to have scans done at a private clinic no matter how old you are. It's a different matter having an abortion at such a young age so I can see why they would have paid more for that.
You have to get used to hospitals hun, it's part and parcel of being pregnant unfortunately whether you have a home birth or not

You cant lie haha ...but if ur not working u also get free private scans?xx

Id be annoyed if the NHS was paying for people to have private scans just because they dont like hospitals - its not like you are staying in overnight or anything

I do agree that local clinics should do scans.

The NHS needs a total overhaul. I have some great ideas, if only the government would listen!!

Also, what will you do if your childs ever ill and has to stay at the hospital? When you're a parent you've got to put your own fears to one side and do whats best for your child.

I'm not working, but because my husband earns a good wage we're not entitled to jack schitt.

I get £40 a month child tax credits. What's that supposed to pay for. We get the same amount as someone who earns £50,000 a year. We barely earn half that! :x

Grrr - I appear to have gone off topic...
