did he weigh you, take your BP, give you a piece of paper so you could send of for your maternity exemption card etc.

as all my Doc did was did a PG test. no feeling my tummy or anything

if is not normal do you think i should phone hospital to see if they have my details yet?

Usually all that is done at booking in with the MW. GP's don't do ante natal stuff these days as a rule. Its all left to the MW.

Pregnancy test (and many don't even worry about that now) sounds about right for a GP visit. Nothing to feel this early on so no point doing that either. My MW didn't feel my tummy till 16 weeks.

Are you having your ante natal via your GP's surgery and seeing the MW there or through your local hospital. Find out and book in with whichever it is and they can do all the stuff you said about.

Hi i had all that done at my booking appointment with midwife, have you made an appointment with the midwife at your surgery this is normally around 8 weeks.

All of the stuff you mentioned I did with the midwife. Basically the GP just clicked a button on my record to say I was pregnant. You were lucky to even get a test, I got "well the ones in the supermarket are probably more reliable than ours so... congratulations!". I would contact your local docs and ask where you go from here and if you need to book in with the midwife yourself.

my doctor didnt do a test either... he relied on the 4 i had done already!!

had everything else done with the midwife.... the doctor just gave me a number to ring to set up my booking appointment...

thanks girlies you reassured me

why i asked about the notes etc was last time i went to the doctors and he did all the things i talked about (may be its all changed now )

any way the notes thing he gave me the thing to claim the Mat exemption thingy and i think he said he normally sends it off but i have to.

just forget the small things spose the side effects of having a LO

I went to the doctors and they just took my word for it that I was pregnant! I said I'd found out I was and wasn't offered a test or anything, it wasn't even mentioned! Was told to book an appointment with the MW which is on the 9th October so I guess that's where I'll get everything sorted and find out all I need to know. Was given a maternity pack for the hospital and loads of stuff to fill in plus some form to say I don't pay for prescriptions now as pregnant!

Yeah dont worry hunny, my doc didnt even do a test haha!!

She just said the MW would be in touch for my booking in appt.
