when will the midwife contact me

Hi i found out last monday that i was 7 weeks pregnant. when should i be hearing from the midwife?x

I went to my doctors last week and I'm still waiting. Think it depends on where u live as well. If I've heard nothing by the end of the week I might ring the hospital or docs to check I've been registered!

I had my first appointment at 8 weeks... But I thought it was 10... So I'd say in the next month-ish xx

Lol me too! I'm slightly worried as I had to register with the doctore to get the appt (I moved) and he seemed slightly slapdash!

I had to make the appointment myself. Went to see the GP and he was useless, just told me to keep taking folic acid and make an appointment to see the midwife. The receptionists did tell me though that the midwife doesn't like to see anyone before they are 10 weeks, so they should be in touch soon if that's what happens in your area. If you don't hear from anyone I'd give your GP practice a ring and ask them, otherwise you should be able to contact your local Primary Care Trust (details on the NHS website as to who your PCT is and how to contact them) and they should be able to advise you on what happens in your area and how to contact your local community midwife team.

here in glasgow when they do referal they state on it how far u think ur gonna be they say they try make it for about 12 week time so when a went to docs at 5 weeks a heard when was 10 weeks for app to go and by time a went a was 12 weeks 1 day x

that was for me scan and seen midwife at hopsital never seen midwife before me scan x

I found out on 28/4 and went to dr on 3/5. Midwife wrote to me on 6/5 asking me to go and see her on 3/6 when i will be 9+4.
