Afternoon all, sorry it's been so long since I've been on the forum - just tend to dip in every now and again. Otis is just taking up more time now and knackering me out! So when I do have a break during his nap time I either sleep myself or do some cleaning - our house is not in a very good way  !!!
Just had a quick question about dream feeds, Otis is still being DF every night at around 11pm, was just thinking when did some of you ladies pack in the DF's? Otis is still BF but is getting 3 meals a day - well sometimes he doesn't eat that much. Wasn't sure weather I should stop over the next month or so. On most nights he does sleep through from around 6:30pm till 6:30am with one DF at 11pm, however he will probably wake 1 or 2 times a week at around 4am, hence why I was thinking of maybe just continuing the DF's - what do you think, or what have you done????

I dropped the dreamfeed when Ellie was just over 4 months. I did reintroduce it when she started at nursery because she was only drinking 1-2oz from a bottle. However I dropped it again once she was taking more from the bottles and more solids. I read somewhere that if you dreamfeed over 6months, you could actually be interfering with their sleep and make them more likely to wake during the night.

I would bring the dreamfeed forward by 15mins each night until it is 3hours after his previous feed, then drop it completely.

Last night Ellie actually went the full 12hrs again :cheer: but I don't think it will last, as she is waking with teething pains I think.

I've dropped Thea's DF now. We had a week of her waking up at 4am but Richard went in and gave her a cuddle rather than me going in and feeding her. Now she sleeps straight through again from 7.30 until 7am

I still give Brody a few oz in a bottle at around 11 or 12pm when I go to bed.
he's on cows milk now anyway and he didn't sleep through without a dreamfeed so I just carried on. Maybe I should try dropping it again

hmmmm cheers ladies for your responses, last night Otis woke at 4am and he was crying so much I just went in and fed him, I probably should not have :? , but he wasn't moan crying but proper crying so I thought it best to just just feed him.
Must try to stop giving in! Most nights he does sleep through but you can almost count on him waking at least once or twice a week at that hour of the morning. nicky may try doing what you suggested, I wonder if he is ready to sleep through as yet?

Cheers!
